The French Press

What You Need

French Press, Scale, Filtered Water, Kettle, Coarse Ground Coffee, Spoon, Timer, Your Favorite Cups.

Brew Ratio

1:16 Coffee : Water Ratio

Feel free to adjust stronger or weaker to your taste.

1 Table Spoon = 7 Grams of Coffee

Recipe for 1 Cup

3 Table Spoons of Coffee + 340 ml of Water

Time: 5 Minutes

HOW TO BREW

1. Bring Water to a boil (94 Degrees Celsius)
2. Weigh out your coffee.
3. Put the ground coffee inside your French press.
4. Slowly pour the water over the coffee grounds; making sure that all the coffee is wet.
5. Set your timer for 5 minutes.
6. Give Your coffee a gentle stir; making sure not to place the spoon all the way down.
7. Place your French press lid on top.
8. Slowly plunge your French press until it reaches the bottom.
9. Pour your coffee in your favorite cups and sip slowly.

Moka Pot

What You Need

Moka Pot, filtered water, finely ground coffee, spoon, your favorite cups.

HOW TO BREW

1. Fill the bottom of the moka pot with water until just under
the valve.
2. Place the filter basket into the brewer bottom.
3. Fill the basket with coffee and make a level surface using your finger.
4. Screw the bottom and top of the moka pot together. Do not over tighten.
5. Put the brewer on the stove and use medium heat. Leave the
lid open.
6. The coffee will begin to come out. As soon as it reaches a light brown color remove the moka pot
from heat.
7. Run the bottom of the moka pot under cold tap water to stop extraction of the coffee.
8. Pour the coffee in your favorite cups and sip slowly.

What You Need

Pour over brewer, paper filter, scale, filtered water, medium ground coffee, spoon timer, your favorite cups.

3.5 Table Spoons of Coffee + 400 ml of Water

Time: 2.5-3 Minutes

HOW TO BREW

1.Bring water to a boil (94 Degrees Celsius)
2. Weigh out your coffee.
3. Take a paper filter, open it, and place it in the brewer.
4. Rinse the paper filter thoroughly with hot water. This removes that unwanted taste of paper.
5. Place the brewer on top of your cup or server.
6. Place your coffee grounds in the brewer.
7. Start by pouring only enough water to just wet all the coffee
(about double the coffee’s weight in water).
8. Wait 30 seconds for the coffee to bloom. (Optional: smell it)
9. Start pouring the rest of the water slowly in a clockwise motion; starting from the middle outwards and back to the middle again.
10. Pour the rest of the water.
11. Once the brewer has finished dripping remove the brewer from the server.
12. Pour the coffee into your favorite cups and sip slowly.

Espresso

What You Need

Espresso machine, Grinder, Tamper, scale, filtered water, 18 grams of coffee, timer, your favorite cups.

HOW TO BREW

1. Grind and Dose Coffee

a. Grind 18 grams of coffee into your portafilter.
b. Level your coffee grounds.
c. Firmly tamp the coffee into your portafilter.

2. Prep your machine

a. Purge your grouphead.
b. Place your portafilter in place.

3. Pull a shot

a. Engage the grouphead and start your timer.
b. Place a cup under the portafilter.
c. Extract 36 grams of espresso in 25-30 seconds.
d. If it extracts too quickly grind finer.
e. If it extracts too slowly grind coarser.
